Getting it home
Three ways a car leaves the lot. Whichever you pick, the title is signed before the wheels move.
Collect it yourself
Drive up to Grant Street, look the car over as long as you like, sign, and drive away. We will put fuel in it and go through the car with you before you leave. If you are flying into Omaha, tell us your arrival time and we will collect you from Eppley.
Enclosed transport
A covered trailer, soft straps, and the car is the only thing riding on that deck at a time. This is what we book by default for anything with fresh paint or a restored interior. We arrange it with the carrier and pass their quote through without adding to it.
Open transport
Cheaper, and fine for a driver-grade car going a short distance. The car travels exposed on a multi-car deck, so it will arrive dusty. We will tell you honestly which of the two we would use for the specific car you are buying.
Before the car ships
Nothing moves until the paperwork is done and funds have cleared. That protects both sides, and it means the car arriving at your door is already legally yours.
- The title is signed over and the bill of sale is issued.
- The carrier records a condition report at pickup, with photos.
- You receive the carrier's contact details and the driver's window.
- A second condition report is taken at delivery, before you sign.
Inspections
You are welcome to send a third-party inspector or a marque specialist to the lot before any money moves. You arrange them, you pay them, and they report to you rather than to us. We will hold the car for the appointment and stay out of the way while they work.
Timing
Transport time depends on the carrier's route rather than on us, so we will not promise a date we do not control. What we will do is give you the carrier's estimate in writing and pass on any change the day we hear it.
